Nathalie Szilagyi, MD is a board-certified Adult and Child & Adolescent psychiatrist who trained at Johns Hopkins and Yale. She is dedicated to providing excellent, evidence-based care and enjoys working with children, adolescents and young adults with a wide range of mental health and behavioral concerns (including anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and ADHD).
Dr. Szilagyi’s additional interest in helping LGBTQ+ youth and their families blossomed during her work with specialty gender services at Johns Hopkins and Yale, during her adult and child & adolescent psychiatry training, and later as faculty. Her expertise in gender identity issues has led to publication in professional journals and speaking engagements at Yale, Columbia, and Harvard medical schools, as well as at national and international conferences.
In addition to her practice at Aurora, Dr. Szilagyi continues to serve on faculty at the Yale Child Study Center, where she provides consultations for pediatricians and teaches psychiatry fellows about compassionate, affirmative, evidence-based approaches to caring for transgender and gender diverse youth and their families. She also leads monthly Gender and Sexuality Rounds for trainees and faculty at the Albert J. Solnit Psychiatric Hospital.
